About this listing

Each sampler includes 2 each of the following: Hellas Box-Pressed Toro (6"x52) - Pays homage to Homer and ancient Greece, with a complex and flavor-packed joyride of a blend. To the eye, this cigar boasts Raymond's signature brick shithouse construction - perfect level of firmness, a beautiful, dark, almost reddish-brown Habano wrapper, a lovely oily sheen and toothy texture, and perfect combustion and draw, including a firm stack-of-dimes grey-white ash that seems to hold for miles. Off the bat, there is pepper and spice with a sweet component and it's medium in strength. By the middle third of the cigar, you're taking the elevator to the top floor of Complexity HQ, as the richness and sweetness intensify. We're now in medium to full-bodied territory with a warm, satisfying feeling in the belly and the lips are tingling nicely. There's a creaminess and coffee bean component now, and the pepperiness lingers, yet remains balanced through the end. Hellas is a highly enjoyable, medium to full-bodied Penn Standard Broadleaf Box-Pressed Toro (6"x52) - A gorgeous, dark horse of a blend from Nicaragua that will captivate you the moment you lay eyes on it. Have a look at the luscious, dark, genuine Pennsylvania-grown Broadleaf Maduro wrapper, an oily beauty with some nice mottling and tooth that will have you drooling – a preview of things to come. The binder is Habano-seed Esteli-grown leaf; the multi-country fillers are a recipe of Habano Esteli and Habano Condega grown in the jet black volcanic soils of Nicaragua together with Habano Copan from Honduras. On the opening, there’s nice sweetness on the lips with a refined flavor that’s smooth and almost chocolatey together with some spices, yet zero bite and no harshness. The ash is grey and holds firm, developing layer after layer before falling off in large chunks as it progresses. The smoke clouds billow with copious amounts of smoke. Warmer, creamy and smooth with a baked bread aroma, it burns slow with continued spice and strength throughout. Into the second half there is natural tobacco sweetness, hints of coffee, cocoa and leather with a pronounced hickory note and a mellow, pleasant finish on the palate. On the fuller side of medium to full bodied. The Brand Box-Pressed Toro (6"x52) - This blend is a shining example of an authentic craft boutique cigar. Ample flavor, character and complexity without overpowering strength and body, it brings earthy tones, creaminess, bread, and a unique, subtle underlying spicy-sweetness. The Brand remains smooth and balanced but builds in strength somewhat as it burns, developing a pronounced coffee bean note. Beautifully constructed, its gorgeous dark brown wrapper is a Habano Ecuador, Cuban-seed Nicaraguan long-fillers from Esteli and Condega together with Dominican Piloto Cubano tobaccos. Graycliff Nicaragua Maduro Box-Pressed Toro (6"x52) - Box-Pressed Maduro is lovely - very squarely pressed, heavy in the hand, and featuring a dark and uber smooth vein-free Maduro wrapper that looks like a dark choco candy bar. This amps up the intensity a bit vs.the Habano presenting a fuller, more robust character .Spice is delivered in spades and it brings a smokey character reminiscent of a char-grilled steak. Padilla Reserva Box-Pressed Toro (6"x52) - is a dark and sultry beauty, beautiful to the eye with a nice oily sheen. Perfectly constructed, it brings a boatload of flavor including nuts, spice, sweet caramel, salt, and leather with a hint of coffee on the finish. Well-balanced, this medium-bodied blend is the perfect combination of strength and flavor for those seeking a smooth, pleasant, yet character-filled ride from start to finish.Padilla Reserva Box-Pressed Toro (6"x52) -
